Kilt
|
Ok so for many years I've been toying with the idea of getting a kilt in my clans colours (both of my grandparents hail from the same clan). The biggest thing stopping me has been the cost it's about $1000 for the full outfit $500 for just the kilt.
Now I'm thinking about getting one at the end of the summer.
What do you guys think about Kilts?
Women do you think they look good or not?
Men will you ever get over the "Oh my word he's wearing a skirt!" thing (by the way a kilt is one of the most manly things you can wear, think about it Scotland is not warm )
anyway just curious to know.

Culture in a man states that he is beyond himself, and that he believes in tradition, he believes in other people, and he enjoys life. What better way to exhibit that than to attire yourself as your homeland Kilt? Go for it!

Being a proud scottish national I LOVE the kilt! and I will definitely insist on any future husband wearing a kilt at the wedding
I find Kilts super appealing and you are so right, it is indeed very manly as the weather here in scotland is not warm!!
I know its a lot of money but I say go for it!

$500 for 1/2 a yard of cloth? Now, those Scots are not frugal at all... [/u]

a kilt is not made out of 1/2 yard it's made out of 8 yards or 24 feet of high quality tartan. That's why it's so expensive

Is that tag line of yours a take-off on a series of highway BurmaShave signs? Sounds like it when uttered aloud....

well if you're going to get all "technical" on me, the kilt came first. Therefore all women are wearing mens clothing.
